The best Fall Scenic Drives in Colorado
Well fall is in the air, the winds are getting cooler. That means it’s time for your fall cannabis vacation, come out and see the beautiful landscape Colorado has to offer. A Colorado vacation is better this time of year.
Near the end of September through the middle of October the Aspens in Colorado are changing colors, you will see beautiful dark reds, yellows and browns mixed in with the evergreens that go on as far as the eye can see.

One of the best is the San Juan Skyway. This drive is one of the most beautiful scenic drives in Colorado by far. The drive is about 100 miles long so be sure to have a full tank and plenty of supplies for the journey. This drive goes up and summits a few mountain passes, the winding road will give you get some great views from the lookouts along the way. This is a must see if you have the time to spend enjoying it all.
Another great drive is the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. This has two routes you can take. You will have some awesome views of the changing Aspens, the evergreens and grasses of the plains as you follow the the course of the Gunnison River going farther into Black Canyon.

If your going to be near Colorado springs then Pike’s Peak is another great drive. The road is now all paved and has some spectacular 360 degree views from the top. The 19-mile drive up the mountain is very scenic with the Aspens, scrub brush, evergreens, plains grass and lakes.
You will travel all the way up till you summit at the elevation of 14,115 feet so be sure to be ready for inclimate weather as it can snow during the summer months. This drive has many overlooks and places to stop and enjoy the fresh mountain air. There is also a store/restaurant at the top as well. If you don’t want to dive this there is also a train that is seasonal that can take you there as well.
